PURPOSE: A direction key operating device and a method thereof are provided to easily perform rapid and fine movement of a cursor by freely managing movement speed of the cursor. CONSTITUTION: A position input unit(150) has a direction key corresponding to at least one of directions. A timer(170) counts an input time of the direction key. A position input processing unit(180) determines movement of a displayed cursor by a display method according to a count value of the input time. The position input procession unit controls movement of a menu item, scroll of a web page, movement between characters on a character input window, or movement of the cursor. |
