The invention relates to a twin scroll exhaust gas turbocharger for an internal combustion engine, having a turbine housing and having a first and a second gas intake channel (1, 1') separated from each other by the turbine housing and opening into a first and a second spiral channel (2, 2') extending radially outward about an exhaust gas turbine of the twin scroll exhaust gas turbocharger that can rotate about a rotary axis (3), and radially at a distance from each other relative to the rotary axis (3), wherein the first spiral channel (2), which connects to the first gas inlet channel (1) disposed closer to the rotary axis (3), extends up to 180° about the exhaust gas turbine, and the second spiral channel (2'), which connects to the second gas inlet channel (1') further removed from the rotary axis (3), extends up to 180° about the remaining circumference around the exhaust gas turbine. Due to the embodiment of the twin scroll exhaust gas turbocharger according to the invention, the thermal load on the turbine housing is substantially reduced. |
