METHOD FOR PERFORMING BANDWIDTH REQUEST PROCESS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

The method for performing a bandwidth request process in a wireless communication system comprises a step wherein a bandwidth request sequence selected from a sequence set that includes a plurality of sequences is received via a bandwidth request channel; and a step wherein a bandwidth request process to be performed is selected from among a general bandwidth request process and a fast bandwidth request process, via said bandwidth request sequence. Said sequence set is classified into a plurality of subsets that correspond to said general bandwidth request process and said fast bandwidth request process. The bandwidth request process may be performed more quickly and efficiently.
