PURPOSE: A content distributing system using widget and a method thereof are provided to offer content using widget and to collect usage information through the widget. CONSTITUTION: A widget(111) requests and receives content from a content providing server. The widget offers the content to a user terminal. The content providing server collects the usage detail information from the widget. The content providing server offers the collected usage detail information as described above to the content owner as the citing information of the content. According to the request of widget, the content providing server transmits the content.
