PURPOSE: A device and a method for providing call state information are provided to transmit call state information of terminals for monitoring an exchange, thereby checking a call state of the terminal even though the terminal is not able to transmit call state information. CONSTITUTION: A call state information providing device includes a call unit, a decision unit, and a transmission unit. The call unit connects a call between terminals. The decision unit decides whether the terminal which is connected to a call in the call unit is an object to be monitored(S302). The transmission unit transmits call state information to the decided terminal to a monitoring terminal(S304).
