CLUTCH SUPPORT STRUCTURE

A clutch support structure equipped with a clutch fork and a clutch fork support which have respectively a fork sliding surface and a support sliding surface which surfaces slide on each other and a grease interposed between the sliding surfaces, wherein the surface roughness (Rz) of the fork sliding surface is 2 to 30µm and the surface roughness (Rz) of the support sliding surface is 5µm or below and wherein a diamond-like carbon film is formed on the support sliding surface and the grease contains both a non-organomolybdenum solid lubricant and a non-soap thickening agent. In the sliding area of the clutch support structure, reduction in the coefficient of friction and long-term retention of the low-friction characteristics can be attained with the wear resistance improved.
