METHOD, MEDIA GATEWAY AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING FILTERING RULES

A method, media gateway and system for managing the filtering rules are provided, wherein the method includes that the media gateway receives the processing messages transmitted from the media gateway controller; the media gateway maintains the packet filtering rule context which includes at least one filtering rule by which the packets transmitted and received by the media gateway are packet-filtered according to the processing messages; the processing messages include the messages of creating, modifying or removing packet filtering rule context. The implementation of the embodiment of the invention enables that the management of the packet filtering rules on the media gateway by the media gateway controller is achieved effectively.
