AN ARTIFICIAL MARBLE CHIP WITH HIGH TRANSPARENCY AND HIGH SPECIFIC GRAVITY AND A METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: An artificial marble chip and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the dimensional stability by reducing the shrinkage rate, and to successively manufacture the chip with a uniform pattern. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of an artificial marble chip comprises the following steps: pre-heating a hardener in a thermostat; inserting the pre-heated hardener into a reaction bath; adding a diluent; and forming a resin syrup by adding 100 parts of brominated epoxy resin by weight into the reaction bath and heating the mixture at 80~90 deg C. The specific gravity of the brominated epoxy resin is 1.7~2. The diluent is a monomer selected from the group consisting of alkyl glycidyl ether, p-tert-butyl phenyl, phenyl glycidyl ether and others.
