<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain required steering reaction force by properly driving a steering reaction force motor 13 without increase cost so much. <P>SOLUTION: A boosting circuit 50 is provided at an input portion of a steering motor driving circuit 38, thereby passing a large electric current through a steering motor 24. A capacitor 70 charged by the output of the boosting circuit 50 is provided in parallel with the steering motor driving circuit 38. When fast steering operation is detected, a changeover switch 60 is switched to connect the capacitor 70 to a steering reaction force motor driving circuit 37. Therefore, electrical charge accumulated in the capacitor 70 can be used as a driving power source of a steering reaction force motor 13. Consequently, even if the fast steering operation is carried out, suitable steering reaction torque can be given, and it is not necessary to provide the boosting circuit in a preceding stage of the steering reaction force motor driving circuit 37. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
