<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve correct cumulative traveling information in response to the actual condition by storing a traveling history in a nonvolatile memory according to the traveling condition of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic control device 9 monitors the operating condition of the vehicle, determines whether the operating mode of the vehicle is an ordinary use mode or a factory inspection mode, and determines whether or not a selective reduction type NOx catalyst 4 arranged in the exhaust passage 5 of the vehicle functions normally. If it is determined that the selective reduction type NOx catalyst 4 does not normally function, the cumulative traveling information is stored in the nonvolatile memory 10 when it is determined that the operating mode of the vehicle is the ordinary use mode. Meanwhile, it is prohibited to store the cumulative traveling information of the vehicle in the nonvolatile memory 10 when it is determined that the operating mode of the vehicle is the factory inspection mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
