摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition of a low refractive index coating material that can form a cured film having a low refractive index, high antifouling property, and further high wear resistance and chemical resistance. SOLUTION: The composition of a low refractive index coating material contains at least one elected from silane compounds, hydrolyzates and partial hydrolyzates of the silane compounds, and low refractive index particles. The silane compounds include both-end silane compounds having a silane-based functional group at each molecular end and silane compounds excluding the above both-end silane compounds. The both-end silane compounds include compounds expressed by general formula (1):X-CF<SB>2</SB>O-(CF<SB>2</SB>CF<SB>2</SB>O)<SB>p</SB>-(CF<SB>2</SB>O)<SB>q</SB>-CF<SB>2</SB>-X, wherein X represents a silane-based functional group.
