PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a receiver to easily identify a transmitter of a signal. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for the reception of a signal by a receiver, a received signal comprising a combination of signals transmitted by a plurality of transmitters synchronously at a same frequency and the representative of the same data encoded by the same first encoder. In order to identify simply a transmitter, the method comprises steps for: receiving two signals which are weighted with different weighting coefficients and based on the transmitter, and in which one of the two coefficients takes two different values with respect to two time intervals, and ratios of the coefficients with respect to the temporal intervals are different; and determining a parameter specific to one of two subsets from the received signal and information representative of the associated coefficients and time intervals.
