PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a program and a device of photographic image processing for specifying a noise variation width of photographic image data to effectively suppress noise. SOLUTION: The method of photographic image processing includes a noise variation width specification step of obtaining a regression line from a flat image area; a noise suppressing intensity calculation step of calculating a noise variation width and noise suppressing intensity for an arbitrary notable pixel from the regression line; a density corresponding filter coefficient generation step of calculating a filter coefficient of a weighted average filter from a density differential value between a notable pixel and a surrounding pixel and from the noise suppressing intensity; a density corresponding noise suppression processing step of applying weighted average filter processing to density component image data; a moving average filter processing step of applying moving average filter processing to the density component image data; a moving average pixel noise variation width specification step of obtaining a noise variation width of a moving average pixel; and a gradation correction processing step of correcting a weighted average pixel from the noise variation width of the moving average pixel.
