PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating apparatus whose lid can be safely opened and closed. SOLUTION: The heating apparatus 100 has a tub 102 for housing a heating medium such as oil or hot water, a casing 101 for holding the tub 102, and a lid member 104 positioned above the tub 102 and freely turnably attached to the casing 101. Further, the heating apparatus 100 includes a support member 105 extended along the height direction of the casing 101 and abutting on the lower surface of the lid member 104 to support the lid member 104. The support member 105 is capable of changing the angle of the lid member 104 to the bottom surface of the tub 102 by being elevated and lowered along the height direction of the casing 101.
