PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus easily obtaining data useful for comparing different regions. SOLUTION: A slice Sab is set in a right leg part 7a and a left leg part 7b to collect data from the slice Sab. After collecting data from the slice Sab, a slice SA at an oblique angle α=θ and a slice SB at an oblique angle β=θ are set to collect data by means of multi-slice scanning. After collecting data, the oblique angles α and β of the slices SA and SB are increased by the angle θ respectively, so that the oblique angles α and β of the slices SA and SB are changed to the angles 2θ to collect data by means of the multi-slice scanning. Similarly thereafter, data are collected while increasing the oblique angles α and β of the slices SA and SB by the angle θ to change the oblique angles α and β to the angles n×θ.
