<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the accurate positioning of a chain stop member relative to a sprocket, while performing power transmission more surely by effectively preventing skipping of a gear tooth of a link. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A flight scraper 25 is suitable for the link 20 of a chain 10 with a small gap g<SB>1</SB>. Chain presser members 28 and 29 are supported with the rotating boss 4a of a driving sprocket 4 freely to relatively rotate. In this case, the chain presser members 28 and 29 are arranged in part of a region wherein the link 20 is engaged with a chain engaging roller 13 of the driving sprocket 4. When the flight scraper 25 passes through the chain presser members 28 and 29, the members 28 and 29 are positioned in the gap g<SB>1</SB>. Thereby, the flight scraper can pass through the chain presser members 28 and 29, and when the skipping of a gear tooth occurs in the link 20, the link 20 is pressed with the chain presser members 28 and 29.
