<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure capable of suppressing the intrusion of a pillar into an interior side at a lateral collision. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vehicle body structure 10 includes: a floor panel 14 on which a tunnel 16 extending in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle is formed at a substantially central portion in the lateral direction thereof; a pair of right and left lockers 20 disposed along the longitudinal direction at both ends of the floor panel 14 in the lateral direction and each forming a closed cross-sectional structure by joining at least a locker inner panel 24 and a locker outer panel 22 to each other; a pair of right and left pillars 30 connected with the relevant lockers 20 in a row arrangement, extending in the vertical direction of the vehicle, and forming a closed cross-sectional structure by joining at least a pillar inner panel 34 and a pillar outer panel 32 to each other; and a connecting member 50 connecting the locker 20 and the pillar 30 by extending in the lateral direction over the vehicle upper side of the tunnel portion 16 and by being joined with an inner side 24C of the locker inner panel 24 and with the pillar 30 at the connection position between the locker 20 and the pillar 30.
