<p>Methods and compositions for inhibiting, preventing, or reducing tumor cell growth in patients resistant to the antineoplastic effects of antiestrogen therapy are provided. Increased levels of the PCDFG (GP88) growth factor are indicative of tumorigenicity andresistance to the pharmacological effects of antiestrogen therapy.The methods and compositions of the invention are useful for treating or preventing the re-ocurrence of cancer in patients that are resistant to antiestrogen therapy.</p> |
