PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a displaying method thereof are provided to display an image including the application icon corresponding to the location information to the partial image as a background image. CONSTITUTION: A location information module(115) gets location information. A display unit(151) displays an image. A memory(160) stores the image. A controller(180) searches the image corresponding to the location information obtained by the location information module from the memory, and controls the display unit to display the first image among the searched images. The first image includes an icon corresponding to one or more applications corresponding to the obtained location information to the partial image.
