<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer charger excellent in friction stability without wearing and with low friction against an intermediate transfer belt and securing sufficient transfer efficiency, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus transferring a toner image carried on an image carrier 12 to the intermediate transfer belt 31 to form an image, the transfer charger 62 makes surface contact with an inner surface of the intermediate transfer belt 31 and is pressed toward the image carrier by a pressing member 61. The transfer charger 62 is a sheet material comprising a resin composition containing 100 pts.wt. of non-injection-moldable ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (PE) resin, 2 to 15 pts.wt. of electrically conductive carbon, and 0.5 to 5 pts.wt. of at least one powder selected from among PTFE resin powder, graphite powder, and silicone resin powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
