<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display system presenting a sharp image only to a specific person, with a simple configuration, when a wide-view image is displayed by using a large screen. <P>SOLUTION: In the image display system, a large recursive reflection screen 5 is arranged in the line of sight direction of a person, and a half mirror 4 having a light incident surface facing the face of the person is provided, when the eye position of the person exists in a preset video area where an image can be viewed by the person. Image light L1 at a predetermined field angle is emitted from an image light emitting part and made incident on the light incident surface of the half mirror 4 at a predetermined incident angle.
