<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fixing a glass layer, by which glass members can be efficiently fusion-bonded to each other without causing breakage of the glass members, and to provide an apparatus for fixing the glass layer. <P>SOLUTION: A glass layer (3) is fixed on a glass member (4) by fusing the glass layer (3) by irradiation with a laser beam L1 along a scheduled region for fusion bonding, with the irradiation power of the laser beam L1 being so controlled as to keep the glass layer (3) at a temperature which is higher than the melting point and lower than the crystallization temperature. In fixing the glass layer (3), the laser beam absorptivity of the glass layer (3) is rapidly enhanced by the fusion of the glass layer (3), but the irradiation power of the laser beam L1 is so controlled as to keep the glass layer (3) at a temperature which is higher than the melting point and lower than the crystallization temperature, whereby the glass layer (3) is protected from excessive heat input and thus inhibited from being crystallized in baking. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
