<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce display unevenness remaining after deformation stress is applied to a liquid crystal device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal device 10 including an interpixel region H provided with a first interpixel region part H1 extending in a first direction F1 and a second interpixel region part H2 extending in a second direction F2 crossing the first direction F1 and connected to the first interpixel region part H1 between pixels G, a columnar spacer 15 is disposed in a connection part of the first interpixel region part H1 and the second interpixel region part H2 and a sectional shape of at least a tip part 15a of the columnar spacer protrudes to an outer side on the first interpixel region part H1 extending side and on the second interpixel region part H2 extending side and has an outer edge pulled in the inner side in intermediate directions M1 to M4 between the first interpixel region part H1 extending side and the second interpixel region part H2 extending side.
