<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having high expandability, which enables a user to easily additionally install an accessory device without causing deterioration of image quality due to twist or distortion of a body frame. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, two bearer parts out of bearer parts to a floor surface on which a body of a printer 100 is installed include a movable leg 41 movable in a vertical direction, and a compression spring 42 energizing the movable leg 41 toward the floor surface respectively, and an image scanner 80 is attachably/detachably provided in the body of the printer 100. The image forming apparatus has a link lever 54 provided to be movable at a standby position and moving from the standby position by contacting the image scanner 80 when the image scanner 80 is attached, and includes changing means (cam member 51, camshaft 52, and link arm 53) changing strength of energizing force by the compression spring 42 when the link lever 54 moves from the standby position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
