PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can exactly manage stocks of ink bottles. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes a plurality of the ink bottles 3 in which a plurality of colors of inks are held, respectively, and an ink residual amount display 5 which displays an ink residual amount in each ink bottle by displaying a total capacity of each of the plurality of ink bottles 3. In the image forming apparatus which forms an image to a printing medium by the ink held in the plurality of ink bottles 3, a warning is displayed at the ink residual amount display 5 when the ink residual amount reaches a reference value. The image forming apparatus has a time measuring part 7 which measures a time until a time when the ink bottle runs out of the ink from when the ink residual amount reaches the reference value, and a warning display determination part 9 which sets the reference value from the time measured by the time measuring part 7.
