PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suck and discharge unnecessary air lying in an ink chamber communicating with ink ejection ports inexpensively in a short period of time. SOLUTION: The ink ejection device includes: the ink chamber 110 communicating with ink ejection ports 100; an ink inlet 120 and an air draft 140 disposed in the ink chamber 110; an ink amount control valve mechanism 160 for opening/closing the air draft 140 in accordance with the ink amount in the ink chamber 110; a tube pump 150 as an air sucking and discharging means; a one-way valve mechanism 180 disposed between the air draft 140 and the tube pump 150; and a pressure adjustment valve mechanism 200 disposed between the air draft 140 and the one-way valve mechanism 180.
