PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas spring filled with a large quantity of lubricating oil for sealing and lubrication, and a gas spring constituted so that the lubricating oil does not flow in an accumulator. SOLUTION: A cylinder hole of a cylinder body 2 of the gas spring 1 is vertically partitioned by a piston member 5, and a first cylinder chamber 6 on the upper side of the piston member 5 and a second cylinder chamber 7 on the lower side of the piston ember 5 are formed. The first and second lubricating oils 9 and 10 of a quantity corresponding to the consumption equivalent to at least 10 years are stored in the first and second cylinder chambers 6 and 7. A stopper member 11 is arranged for receiving the piston member 5 from below in a higher position than a liquid level of the second lubricating oil 10, and a gas passage forming member 22 connected to a gas passage 31 is arranged in the second cylinder chamber 7.
