MAGNETIC DAMPER AND WASHING MACHINE HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A magnetic damper and a washing machine including the same are provided to enhance the damping force of a damper by strengthening the intensity of the magnetic force of a plurality of solenoid coils through MR(Magneto-Rheological) fluid. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic damper(100) comprises a cylinder(110), a rod(120) and a plurality of solenoid coils(140). One end of the cylinder is fixed. One side of the rod is passed through the inside of the other end of the cylinder. The end of the other side of the rod is fixed to be corresponded to one end of the cylinder. The solenoid coils are formed on the outer circumference of the cylinder. Depending on the weight or vibration being applied to the rod, the solenoid coils attenuate the weight or vibration with a variety of magnetic force.
