<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical compensatory film, achieving wide contrast view angle not achieved in the conventional optical compensatory film, and holding down a defect of point brilliance to the minimum. <P>SOLUTION: This optical compensatory film has a laminated structure including: a first optically anisotropic layer having an Re(550) of 20-100 nm and containing liquid crystal; and a second optically anisotropic layer which is a film containing compound with a negative inherent birefringence and a plasticizer with a number average molecular weight of 500-50000 and having repeating unit. In the second optically anisotropic layer, an Re(550)is 20-150 nm, an Rth(550) is 40-110 nm, and an alignment layer is provided on the surface thereof coming into contact with the first optically anisotropic layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
