<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adhesion of dust due to static electricity while allowing an exhaust duct made of plastics, and effectively prevent electric leakage due to moisture absorption by the dust. <P>SOLUTION: A battery system includes a battery block 2 constituted by connecting a plurality of battery cells 1 having a gas exhaust valve 11, and the hollow exhaust duct 20 which is coupled with a gas exhaust port 12 of the gas exhaust valve 11 of respective battery cells 1 constituting this battery block 2, and which exhausts gas exhausted from the gas exhaust port 12.
