METHOD OF MANUFACTURING MEMBRANE-ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY OF FUEL CELL FORMING NANO-STRUCTURAL SURFACE ON POLYMER ELECTROLYTE MEMBRANE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a membrane-electrode assembly of a fuel cell forming a nano-structural surface on a polymer electrolyte membrane.

SOLUTION: The method includes a step of being located in a chamber while pressure in the plasma processing chamber is maintained at 1.0×10-7to 2.75×10-3Pa and forming a nano-structure on the surface of the polymer electrolyte membrane by performing plasma processing on the surface of the polymer electrolyte membrane of a fuel cell by using a PACVD method; and a step of holding and vapor-depositing a catalyst on the surface of the polymer electrolyte membrane having a nano-structure formed by the plasma processing.
