PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a waist belt hardly causing wastes in the process of manufacture. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the waist belt includes processes of: (A) obtaining an elastic sheet 15 by attaching a waistline elastic material 13 in the stretched state to a strip-shaped long sheet 11; (B) obtaining a front sheet 25 and a rear sheet 26 in which recesses and projections are alternately formed by successively cutting the elastic sheet 15 along the longitudinal direction in a wave-shaped trajectory W at constant cycles; (C) obtaining a laminate having one wave-shaped end edge by laminating the front sheet 25 on the rear sheet 26 in such a way that wave-shaped end edges cut and formed in the wave-shaped trajectory W are located on the same side and disposing the sheets in such a way that projections on the rear sheet 26 are located between adjacent projections on the front sheet 25; (D) obtaining a joint body by joining the area from the trough of the wave-shaped end edge of the laminate to the other end edge of the laminate; and (E) obtaining the waist belt by cutting the joint body at the joined area.
