<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a sine wave in a signal generation circuit by easily eliminating spurious harmonic waves while securing a sufficient output signal level. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The signal generation circuit includes: a first frequency divider 1b for outputting first signals based on a first input signal; a second frequency divider 1b for outputting second signals based on a second input signal; first phase shifters 2a, 2b for producing a first phase difference ϕ between the first input signal and the second input signal; and synthesizing circuits 3a-3d for generating output signals by synthesizing the first signals and the second signals. The first phase shifters 2a, 2b generate the second input signal by adding to the first input signal the first phase difference ϕ by which a first harmonic wave component to be eliminated in the first signal produces an inverse phase between the first input signal and the second input signal.
