PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce local electrostatic charge on a surface of a photoreceptor drum caused by separating discharge generated when recording paper is peeled from a surface of the photoreceptor drum. SOLUTION: Conveyance control is performed so that the separating charge is generated on the same position on the surface of the photoreceptor drum when the recording paper is peeled from the surface of the photoreceptor drum, for each recording paper. In the conveyance control, the separating charge position on the surface of the photoreceptor drum during second printing is calculated from paper length detected by a paper length detection means during first printing, so as not to generate the separating charge on the same position on the photoreceptor drum as in the first printing. When the separating charge positions on the surface of the photoreceptor drum are the same in the first printing and the second printing, timing of feeding recording paper in the second printing is delayed. Through the above conveyance control, the local electrostatic charge on the surface of the photoreceptor drum is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
