<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for a rotating machine, capable of highly efficiently discharging heat generated in a stator coil. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotating electric machine includes: a stator core 800 fitted to the inside of a frame 200 and having a plurality of slots for housing a stator coil 900 in its inner circumferential portion; rotors 500 disposed so as to oppose to each other via a gap on the internal circumferential surface of the stator core 800; the frame 200 provided outside the stator core 800; brackets 80a, 80b for supporting the load side and an anti-load side of the stator 500; and a cooling jacket 300 for circulating a coolant between the stator core 800 and the frame 200. In the rotating electric machine, the cooling jacket 300 configures cooling jackets 300b, 300c and 300d having a plurality of microchannels formed concentrically with the frame so as to highly efficiently transmit loss heat generated in the stator coil and the stator core to the frame.
