摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method and electro-optical device, taking into consideration a change in optical response characteristic due to a wavelength, while adequately ensuring brightness of a screen in color sequential drive system. SOLUTION: Each of the pixels of a display panel has transmissivity corresponding to a written voltage. LEDs emit R (red), G (green), and B (blue) light beams to the display panel in order. A frame period is divided into R-G-B sub-frame periods. Each component of the primary color is written according to the scanning period for the plurality of pixels 110 in the sub-frame period. After the scanning period, the LEDs of the component of the written primary color are emitted during a light-emitting period before a scanning period for the subsequent sub-frame.
