PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from erroneously recognizing a failure of an apparatus. SOLUTION: When a channel to be received is indicated, in a device for receiving digital television broadcast, a number of the channel is acquired in a step S11. In a step S12, it is determined whether the selected channel is set as a channel to be received and if set, an image of the channel is displayed in a step S14.
