<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of preventing dielectric breakdown in each electrode of a capacitive element. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The display device includes a capacitive element where a conductive part of a semiconductor layer is used as one electrode, an insulating film covering the semiconductor layer is used as a dielectric film, and a conductor layer formed on the insulating film and having a part stacked on the one electrode is used as the other electrode. The conductor layer has an extended part integrally connected to the conductor part of the part stacked on the one electrode, extended from the inside of the forming area of the semiconductor layer to the outside of the forming area of the semiconductor layer, and formed on the insulating film. The insulating film is formed such that in an area stacked on both of the semiconductor layer and the extended part of the conductor layer, its film thickness is larger than that of the insulating film of the part stacked on the one electrode.
