<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable displayed contents to be easily comprehended in acquiring a flip-through function by using a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The display device has a display screen 300 wherein contents of a plurality of pages comprising at least either of characters and images are continuously displayed by successively switching/scrolling the pages. In this process, a storage part 301 stores the contents, a speed information input part 302 receives input of information about page turning speed, a display content/switching time decision part 303 decides contents to be displayed on the display screen 300 among the contents stored in the storage part 301 based on the information input via the speed information input part 302 about page turning speed, and a display control part 304 controls the display screen 300 to carry out successively switched display or scrolled display of the decided contents.
