<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To faithfully display an image according to operation of an operator while reducing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes a storability display body having storability of display, a proximity detecting section for detecting that the distance from the display surface of the storability display body to an input device operated by the operator is a threshold or shorter, a voltage increasing circuit that performs an increasing operation of increasing driving voltage applied to a display element of the storability display body when the proximity detecting section has detected that the distance is the threshold or shorter and does not perform the increasing operation when the proximity detecting section has not detected that the distance is the threshold or shorter, and a driving circuit that applies voltage of a predetermined value to a display element corresponding to the position specified by the input device to drive the display element and displays an image on a display surface of the storability display body when the voltage increasing circuit increases the driving voltage to a predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
