<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and inexpensive casting cap used for fixing ends of a module by a centrifugal potting method by a sealant in the manufacturing process of a hollow fiber membrane module, reducing occurrence of foreign matter, yarn breakage and defect of yarn disorder, and increasing the performance of the hollow fiber membrane module, and to provide a method of manufacturing the hollow fiber membrane module using the casting cap. <P>SOLUTION: The potting material casting cap 2 holds a hollow fiber membrane bundle 11 at a given place, and has a protrusion 22 on the rear face 20 of a top plate in relation to an axial direction of the hollow fiber membrane bundle, coming into contact with the ends of the hollow fiber membrane bundle.
