<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel and a touch panel type display device for reducing capacitance generated between wiring conductors electrically connecting an electrode for position detection and an external circuit while achieving scale reduction. <P>SOLUTION: This touch panel X1 is provided with: a plurality of first electrodes 12 for detecting the position of an arrow AB direction: a plurality of second electrodes 22 for detecting the position of an arrow CD direction; and a plurality of wiring conductors 13 for applying a voltage to a first electrode 12 and a second electrode 22. The plurality of wiring conductors 13 includes a first wiring conductor 131 electrically connected to one electrode 12 among the plurality of first electrodes 12 and a second wiring conductor 132 electrically connected to the electrode 12 adjacent to the pertinent electrode 12.
