<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic apparatus in which air-tightness of a housing is easily checked. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A cellular phone 1 includes: a housing body 13 with which a sound hole 41 and an air ventilation hole 43 are formed; a speaker 83 disposed inside the housing body 13 while facing the sound hole 41; and a waterproof sheet 49 which has waterproofing property and gas permeability and covers the sound hole 41 and the air ventilation hole 43. Furthermore, the cellular phone 1 includes an ornament plate 21 which seals an area, wherein the sound hole 41 and the air ventilation hole 43 are formed, from the outside of the housing body 13 and with which an outside hole 47 is formed for communicating a space formed inside the housing body 13 and an external space via the sound hole 41 and the air ventilation hole 43.
