PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing the photochemical reaction or spectrum analysis of a fluid using a support unit for a microfluid system not receiving the severe restriction of the number or quantity of steps of reaction or analysis, easy to manufacture, and for densely mounting complicated fluid circuits. SOLUTION: In the method for performing the photochemical reaction or spectrum analysis of the fluid by allowing the fluid to flow through a hollow filament having light transmission properties and irradiating the fluid with light using the support unit for the microfluid system equipped with a first support and the hollow filament constituting the flow channel of the microfluid system and characterized in that the hollow filament is laid on the first support in an optional shape, the predetermined place of the hollow filament has light transmission properties and the predetermined place inside the hollow filament has functionality, the functionality of the predetermined place inside the hollow filament is at least one selected from the group consisting of absorption-desorption, ion exchange, separation, removal, distribution and oxidation-reduction.
