PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation pile for erecting a post, lightweight with good workability. SOLUTION: The foundation pile 15 includes an upper cylinder part 17 of hollow cylinder shape that can insert the lower part of the post 11, and a pointed end 18 extended coaxially downward from the lower end of the upper cylinder part 17 and biting into the ground by striking. The pointed end 18 comprises a plurality of biting blades 20 arranged at spaces in a circumferential direction, and the biting blades 20 are formed by press-working recesses 21 recessed radially inward, at a plurality of circumferential parts of a steel pipe.
