PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and adequately control the paper feed timing of a next paper sheet from a paper feed cassette when a paper sheet is conveyed to an inversion path after the print on one side of the paper sheet during the double-sided print. SOLUTION: An inversion point for inverting a paper sheet after the printing on one side thereof and conveying it to an inversion path, and a paper sheet detection unit upstream of the inversion point are provided on a paper sheet conveying passage. A paper feed control unit is provided, which calculates the time at which the rear end of the first paper sheet reaches the inversion point when a rear end of the first paper sheet is detected by the paper sheet detection unit, and starts the feed of the second paper sheet at the calculated time.
