PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform processing by a remote operation after switching to the lock mode in a portable telephone. SOLUTION: The portable telephone has operating keys for receiving the input of an operation performed by a user and a control portion for executing processing corresponding to the received operation. The control portion includes a mode switching means (S02) for switching the mode of the processing to the lock mode by remote control, an inhibiting means for inhibiting the execution of first processing when receiving the input of the operation for executing the first processing predetermined in the operating key, in the lock mode, an automatic responding means (S05) for responding to an incoming call in response to the incoming call from a predetermined telephone number, in the lock mode, and a second processing executing means (S06) for executing second processing in response to receiving a command for executing the predetermined second processing from the responding telephone.
