<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric having suppressed rigidity increase and excellent flexibility, and being free from the collapse and falling of the ridge parts and the closure of openings. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The nonwoven fabric has alternately arranged ridge parts 20 and groove parts 30 each extending in one direction, and the groove part 30 has open holes 31. The ridge part 20 has substantially higher fiber quantity than that of the groove part 30. The fiber density of the top part 21 of the ridge part 20 and the end of the open holes 31 are different. The nonwoven fabric 10 contains 50 wt.% or more of self-welding fiber and the fibers are thermally welded with each other.
