<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle for a hair transplanting instrument capable of smoothly sucking a hair-containing donor without being clogged with the hair-containing donor. <P>SOLUTION: The cylindrical slitting part 21 of the needle 22 includes an acute shape part 27 expanded into a tapered shape from its tip end to its base end. Further, a reverse tapered part 28 expanded toward the most leading end of the acute shape part 27 is provided to the most leading end of the acute shape part 27 in the direction reverse to the acute shape part 27 from the inner wall side of a pipe toward the outer wall side of the pipe.
