<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which prevents the increase of an internal pressure of a rack guide accommodation part when a cap is screwed thereinto, thereby capable of suppressing the removal of a sealant applied to a screw engagement portion. <P>SOLUTION: The rack guide accommodation part 20 is closed with the cap 27 screwed into its external open end 25, and a rack guide 7 presses a rack shaft 3 to the side of a pinion shaft by being urged by a coil spring 29 as an elastic member interposed between the rack guide and the cap 27. When the cap 27 is screwed, the screw engagement portion 30 between the cap and the external open end 25 is applied with the sealant 31. The cap 27 has a through-hole 33 formed therein to establish communication between the side of its outer surface 27a and the side of its inner surface 27b, i.e., communication between the rack guide accommodation part 20 and an external space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
